The upper is made from flannel made from 30% recycled plastic bottles and 70% recycled cotton, while the suede is sourced from leather scraps from a farm in Rio Grande do Sul. The iconic V on the shoe is made from rubber and rice waste, the midsole is made from sugarcane, the outsole combines Amazonian rubber with rice waste and the insole is made from sugarcane and recycled plastic bottles. If anyone claims that sustainable yet trendy footwear is impossible, recall the Veja Venturi - a perfect example of an eco-friendly pair of shoes for everyone.
