Gramicci is a brand of clothing that combines functionality and style for outdoor activities. It was founded by Mike Graham, a rock-climber who belonged to the Stonemasters, a group of innovators who revolutionized climbing in the 1970s. Graham designed the first climbing shorts with a diamond-shaped gusset for flexibility, a canvas fabric for durability, and a webbing belt for adjustability. He named his brand Gramicci, after his nickname during a climbing expedition. The shorts were followed by trousers, known as the G-Pants, which became popular among climbers, surfers, skaters, and streetwear enthusiasts. Gramicci is now based in Japan, where it continues to create clothing that reflects its heritage and culture.
